Taegrin’s murder: Twala’s bail application postponed

The man implicated in the murder of four-year-old Taegrin Morris is expected to apply for bail, after his bail application hearing was postponed at the Boksburg Magistrate's Court on Friday, November 7.

Thamsanqa Twala, who was arrested in Katlehong on October 29, made a brief appearance amid a strong police presence.

Twala will remain behind bars until his next court appearance on Friday, November 14.

He told the court that he would arrange for a new private lawyer to represent him, adding that the lawyer would be ready to proceed with the bail application next Friday.

Taegrin made headlines when a hijacking went horribly wrong, leaving the little boy caught in his seatbelt, and dragged along the road as the hijackers drove away.

The vehicle was subsequently abandoned in the Boksburg CBD.
