Two men, who were involved in the killing which took place in Vosloorus on October 26, were identified.
A reward of R250 000 leading to the arrest of the men is being offered.
The identikits were first released by EWN, and the faces were reconstructed with the help of the witnesses and Kelly Khumalo, Meyiwa’s girlfriend, who were on scene at the time of the shooting.
The men are thought to be aged between 25 and 29 years old.
“They both have dreadlocks, and they are dark brown in complexion and 1.68m tall. One of them had gold upper teeth,” says the police’s Neville Malila,
One of the suspects has a slender build with high cheekbones, with dreadlocks and gold in his upper teeth. His clothing is described as “a brown jacket with a woolen collar and a hat with a checked pattern at the time of the murder”.
The second suspect has is medium brown in complexion, has dreadlocks, beard and a moustache. He was also wearing a black hoodie.
Meyiwa’s funeral is set to be held in KwaZulu-Natal on Saturday, November 1.
