According to Kobeli Mokheseng, spokesperson for the EMPD, the man was declared dead at the scene by medical experts.
“It is not clear at this stage what actually caused the accident, because there were no skid marks on the road surface, suggesting that (he would have) applied brakes before his vehicle veered off the road, and crashed into a tree.”
According to an independent witness, a driver behind him, there was no other motor vehicle involved when the accident occurred.
A case of culpable homicide has been registered at the Boksburg North police station for detectives to investigate further, with the assistance from the EMPD’s Accident Reconstruction Unit. – @CarmenBoksburg
