No crime at Spring Fiesta

No incidents of illegal activities were reported during the recent Spring Fiesta held at Wild Waters.

This is according to Kobeli Mokheseng, spokesperson for the EMPD.

The fiesta took place on October 4, from noon to midnight.

“Our precinct patrol officers were easing congestion for smooth traffic flow at busy intersections such as Rondebult and North Rand roads.”

He adds that the officers were keeping an eye out for motorists who might be driving while under the influence of alcohol.

“Visibility was the order of the day,” says Mokheseng.

He says that their plain clothed Crime Prevention Task teams were concentrating on drug trafficking and crime prevention, especially theft of motor vehicles.

“Together with members of the SAPS and other law enforcement agencies, we take our hats off to drivers who were under the influence of alcohol, but allowed sober people to drive them to their destinations and to patrons who adhered to the stipulated rules.” – @CarmenBoksburg
