Local resident facing new venture as TV presenter

Miss SA Earth 2014 finalist, Shannon Roscher from Boksburg, has landed herself a new venture as the TV presenter for the Mr South Africa reality TV series that will be starting soon.

As an account manager at PR Worx, she was fortunate enough to work on the Mr South Africa account, which the company landed earlier this year.

Having been driving their publicity and her own as a Miss Earth finalist, and having done various public speaking events, the Mr South Africa organisation clearly liked what she did and offered her the job.

“It will be my first professional presenting opportunity. To say I am beyond excited is the understatement of the year,” says Roscher.

The reality show will see the Top 25 finalists partaking in a series of challenges; both as individuals and as groups.

Each daily challenge will eliminate one contestant in order for the judges to ascertain who will be in the Top 12 for the grand finale on December 12, which will be its own stand-alone episode.

“While I can’t give too much away, I can tell you that it will be a fusion of various reality shows broken down into 13 episodes, which will be aired on Tshwane TV on Sunday, November 2, from 6pm to 7pm, until December 14.”

Two episodes per week will be screened with a repeat on Mondays.

The shoot started on Sunday, October 5, and runs until Monday, October 13.

Roscher will be co-presenting with Brad Jay, a seasoned presenter, model, fitness trainer and a 2012 Mr South Africa finalist.

“He really understands the pressure the Top 25 contestants are facing.”

Shannon Roscher was one of the Top 12 finalists for the Miss Earth SA 2014 competition.

Roscher previously entered Miss Earth South Africa, because she felt the organisation could give her a public platform to make a large-scale difference in the lives of those who need our help the most.

“Mr South Africa provides the winner and the runners-up the same opportunity to make a large-scale difference in our country, which is why I’m ecstatic to be involved in the competition.

“I believe that the Top 25 finalist – South Africa’s men of honour – can become the role models that our country so desperately needs.”

By being a co-presenter of the Mr South Africa reality TV show, Roscher is happy to play a small role in selecting the man that will make a real difference in our country.
