Jesus-lovers walked their walk of faith

With banners, flags, shofars and crosses, hundreds of Jesus-lovers embraced the windy weather and walked their walk for Jesus on Sunday, September 28.

Since the inception in 2010, the Walk for Jesus event appears to have grown immensely, not only on the East Rand, but throughout South Africa and across national borders.

It has become a local popular event among Christians in the community.

According to the organiser, Ronel Knipe, this was the fourteenth Walk for Jesus.

The walk began and ended at Laerskool Concordia with participants walking 2km to the East Rand Mall.

Friends and families alike, organisations and pastors, have made this a moment to remember while singing along and handing out small Bibles to bystanders and motorists.

After the walk everyone gathered on the field where a local Christian band was entertaining the crowd.

The walk began and ended at Laerskool Concordia with participants walking 2km to the East Rand Mall.

The next walk will be hosted on March 1, 2015, and all those who wish to participate may contact Ronel Knipe on 082 492 7702. – @IschkeBoksburg
