Fun and laughter over 5km!

It was fun galore as hundreds of people from across the East Rand took part in the Advertiser's successful 5km fun walk on Wednesday evening in aid of the SPCA.

The 5km event started and finished at the East Rand Mall (Nando’s entrance). The route took participants through Jansen Park and also pass the Boksburg Advertiser offices.

There were prizes for the first man, woman and family home to complete, while all those who crossed the finish line received a commemorative medal.

Mayor Mondli Gungubele also showed his support for the evening, held for a good cause, intermingling with the walkers on his way to completing the course.

Participants also bought along a donation of non-perishable dog or cat food.

The fun walk was held in partnership with SPCA, East Rand Mall, Vonk Musiek, Sunward Athletic Club, Solarway, Christian Brothers College and Absolutely Water.
