BREAKING NEWS:Child’s burnt body is Cuburne’s – Father

While police are still in the process of identifying the body and the cause of the death of the child whose body was found at the mine dump in Reiger Park on Saturday, a Ramaphosa family says they are convinced that the recovered body is that of their son.

Elroy Petersen, father of Cuburne van Wyk. The father claims Curbune, who went missing on August 7, is the boy who was found dead at the mine dump in Reiger Park over the weekend.

The child, Cuburne van Wyk, went missing on Thursday, August 7.

Cuburne went missing after he was last seen playing with his brother and sister outside his aunt’s yard in Road Reserve, Ramaphosa.

“I have been to the mortuary and I’m convinced it is my son,” says Cuburne’s father, Elroy Petersen.Elroy says he cannot confirm the rumour that the boy’s genitals is missing since the child was badly burnt round his groin area.

The family says a stone was found on the side of Cuburne’s body, which was found partially burnt on Saturday, August 9.

The father has confirmed the boy’s face was bruised.

The premier of Gauteng, David Makhura, has already visited the family this morning (Monday) and expressed his condolences. – @FanieBoksburg
