Church donations for Victim Empowerment Centre

According to Lieut Juanita Coetzer, communications officer for the Boksburg North SAPS, women from the church handed these packets to Sgt Madumetsa Matwetja for the Victim Empowerment Centre at the Boksburg North police station.

“These packets will be given to a woman who has been raped; they contain toiletries, notebook and pen, underwear, sanitary and some sweets for the children,” she says.

The women from the church included Jean Langlois, Marlene Pinn, Phyllis Rudman, Karen van Niekerk and Irene Campbell.

“These gifts will be very much appreciated by these victims. We can now provide these important items to the people who will need them.” – @CarmenBoksburg
