Liquor meeting to be held

Liquor stores and liquor manufacturers are invited to an information sharing session on the new National Liquor Amendment Regulations 2013.

The regulations were approved by the minister of Trade and Industry, Dr Rob Davies, on December 3, 2013.

These are amendments to the Liquor Act Regulations 2004. The amendment Regulations brings about changes in the processing of applications and the requirements for new applications. They also provide transitional arrangements that directly affect the current National Liquor Authority’s (NLA) registrants.

The information sharing session is being hosted by the NLA and it is meant to ensure that the registrants, role-players and the NLA have a smooth transition to enable compliance to the Liquor Act of 2003 and the amended Regulations.

The meeting will take place on June 10, from 10am to 1pm, at the Birchwood Hotel.
