Acting metro spokesperson, Themba Gadebe, says the municipality is working hard to restore the power supply.
“In Brakpan, only Dalpark Extension 13 residents have been affected by power supply interruption since 8am this morning. Power is expected to be back around 7pm,” says Gadebe.
“Metro’s engineers are working to restore power supply in Impala Park, Boksburg. The area has been without power since yesterday (March 11) around 6pm.
“Engineers expect the power to be fully restored by 3pm.”
Residents are urged to treat all electrical networks and equipment as electrically alive.
It is past 15:00 pm already and the power is still out in Impala Park. Thus meaning it will soon be 24-hours with no electricity, no hot water and plenty of food items to discard….!
Impala Park Boksburg power not restored as yet it is almost 17:00 out since yesterday 11th March???? the question is will we still have load shedding in our area after this????
Going on 6PM already and still nothing, either this is due to improper maintenance or ineptitude… Please spare a thought for those with small children and/or babies in the house. I think most (if not all) of the residents would at least like to have an update on this situation.
Past 6PM now… Shall we try for 48 hours?
7pm – what happened to the “engineers’ expectation” of power restored at 3pm in Impala Park. And – what happened to the excessive price increases of the past years – definitely not invested in upgrading and maintenance.
Update please with definate answers. Hope we all pay lower bills this month.

We drove past the site at about 7:30 last night where the cable was supposedly damaged, we counted 12 wakus there, guess what? Not one of them working, just standing around loafing and smoking. Went passed again at about 10:00PM hole covered, but still no power. How much you want to bet that they all claimed overtime. Just another sad episode of how this country is on the slippery slopes to the “Great Banana Republic”

No electricity, Potholes galore ………… Oops, I forgot the stunning job done on the tree hacking!
And then we were told by 10pm last night, yet still no power. Food in freezer going off, etc. Nevermind the fact I have been reporting two “dangerous” potholes in Hercules street for months now and still nothing.
Heard that the power will only be sorted out by next Monday the 17th.
Some water pipe burst in between and they can’t work on the power cables till that’s sorted out first.
And the power is off AGAIN!!!! Tuesday 18th. Woke up at 4:30 to no power. Now at 15h09 trying to call the idiots, who are now just not answering the phone. . .
