AWT artists shine

Artists from the Artists Working Together (AWT) Artists’ Association exhibited some of their finest work at the Hecker Nursery in Boksburg, last week.

Out of the 40 artists who form part of this association, eleven artists exhibited their work.

The paintings that were exhibited were carefully chosen by AWT artists Paul Botes, Danie Strydom and AWT secretary, Jenny Bayley.

“Each person’s best work, and what they’re good at, is exhibited. The prices of the paintings are also reasonable, so people will be able to afford a good painting,” said Helene du Preez, also an AWT artist.

Du Preez added that the association likes keeping their independence by exhibiting their own artists’ work.

The paintings that were available at the exhibition are created from different mediums such as oil paint, acrylic, water paint and charcoal.
