Driver, passenger sustain minor injuries

The driver and passenger of a Toyota Yaris sustained minor injuries after they were involved in an accident

According to Glen Orritt, spokesperson for ER24, at around 3am on January 17, paramedics responded to the accident on Rietfontein Road.

“Paramedics, along with provincial EMS, arrived on scene and found that two vehicles, a Mazda 323 and Toyota Yaris, had collided, causing the Toyota to roll several times,” he says.

Orritt adds that paramedics assessed the driver and passenger (both in their late 20s) of the Toyota and found that they had, fortunately, suffered only minor injuries.

“They were transported to a nearby hospital by provincial EMS for further care.”

He says the driver of the Mazda escaped injury.
