Officers linked to Krejcir held in Boksburg

It has been reported that two police officers accused of kidnapping and assault are being held at the Boksburg prison.

Both officers are based at the East Rand Organised Crime Unit, which falls under the Hawks.

They appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court, Alberton, on charges of kidnapping and assault, but their bail application was postponed to Monday, December 2.

According to media report, the two will appear in court alongside their alleged boss, East Rand businessman and suspect allegedly linked to various underworld crimes, Radovan Krejcir, on charges stemming from the alleged kidnapping and attempted murder of an East Rand businessman in June.

However, they are allegedly not the only policemen working for Krejcir, and eight others, are believed to also be investigated.
It is alleged that the kidnapping and attempted murder case is only one in many other crimes investigated, and that those currently being charged are juniors, but some senior officials are also set to be investigated and questioned.

Krejcir was arrested on Friday, November 22.

Krejcir and his alleged accomplice also appeared in court on Monday, November 25, on charges of kidnapping with attempted murder.
