C Sharp Music

Make-up, lights, costumes, singing and dancing was the order of the day as C Sharp Music Academy hosted its 14th annual concert at the Boksburg Barnyard Theatre on Saturday, November 2.

C Sharp is a singing school in Benoni for children.

Guests included parents, siblings, friends and children from homes around the East Rand.

“My aim with this concert is to give my students the opportunity to showcase what they have learnt over the years of attending C Sharp.

“It’s also an opportunity for them to perform on a proper stage with all the trimmings that professionals enjoy, such as back-up dancers, costumes, professional lighting, sound and DVD recording,” said Lizette de Klerk, teacher and organiser of show.

De Klerk says it takes hard work and long hours of practice to make the productions a success every year, as students also learn choreography.

“Majority of the students had back-up dancers from Dynamic Dance Studio in Rynfield performing on stage with them,” she said.

Students were also given a studio experience by getting the opportunity of recording their songs onto a CD prior to the show.
