Woman’s stabbed body found next to Mpumalanga farm’s fence

A pair of shoes, blood stains and a soft drink were found nearby the body and forms part of the investigation.

A Langsloot farmer near Zwaksfontein in Trichardt, Mpumalanga, yesterday morning alerted police about a discovery near his farm.

He reported that there was a woman lying next to his fence, and on arrival police found an African female between 20 and 35 years of age, light in complexion, about 1.4m tall, and big build.

She was wearing blue denim pants and a floral blouse, and although her body was discovered without shoes, a pair suspected to be hers was found nearby. Her upper body was covered in blood, already dried, and she had multiple stab wounds to her head, stomach, and hands.

Paramedics were summoned to the scene and she was certified dead.

The body was discovered by a farmer.

All role players were summoned to the scene, and according to Trichardt SAPS spokesperson Sergeant Valencia Ngwanankwane Mashaba, it appeared the body was dumped there after it was stabbed.

The pair of shoes, blood stains, and a soft drink were found a few kilometers from the scene, and the Local Criminal Record Centre took them for further investigation.

A case of murder was opened and registered, and the deceased is unknown. No one has been arrested yet.

The investigating officer is detective Sergeant Thembela Agreemore Sindane and he can be contacted on 082 465 2364.

Anyone with information that can assist in this case is urged to contact Sindane.
