VIDEO: Budding rugby stars impress at Valke Youth League

The Boksburg Rugby Club congratulated its teams of aspiring young players for their impressive performance.

Rugby enthusiasts were treated to an action-packed rugby tournament during the first round of the Valke Youth League on July 13.

The exhilarating round of the league tournament was held at Prince George Park in Boksburg, where several teams from different clubs in the region showcased the best of U14 rugby talent as they battled it out in the field.

The Boksburg Rugby Club congratulated its teams of aspiring young players for their impressive performance during the intense matches consisting of two halves of 25 minutes each.
Boksburg Rugby Club’s U11 player, Wiehan Badenhorst, who was among the budding rugby players who gave stellar performances, said he came fully prepared to take on their Brakpan counterparts.

 

An impressed father, Gawie Badenhorst, said he is very proud of his son Wiehan’s performance during the match against Brakpan.

His impressed father, Gawie Badenhorst, said, “To my son rugby isn’t everything, it’s the only thing. I feel very proud of his performance. He loves rugby and we will let him continue playing and enjoying himself.”
