Put a smile on child’s face

The foundation needs the community’s help for a successful toy drive.

The Humanity Foundation invites the public to support its toy drive at the Atlas Mall on October 7 to help children needing love and attention.

Members from the organisation will collect toys between 09:00 and noon.

They aim to make children’s birthdays special by giving them treats and gifts and spoiling a child on the day after many people forget about their birthday.

The organisation believes in sustainable community solutions, and instead of focusing on only Christmas presents, they partnered with other NPOs specialising in early childhood development and youth care centres to assist kids on their special day.

Additional toys might go to children in hospitals or large groups having several birthdays in one month.

Other festivities to look forward to are Woodlands International College’s Marimba Band and Cherry SA cars that will be on display.

Founding member and the chairperson of the Humanity Foundation, Pierre Marneweck, appealed to the public to help them make the world a better place by daily impacting one life.

“We invite you to donate good-condition pre-loved toys, or you are welcome to make a financial donation. September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, so we ask that you consider helping us.

“We hope to not only collect a large number of toys but also provide some entertainment for one and all,” Marneweck said.

The drop-off points before October 7 are:
• 6 Kakelaar Street, Atlasville
• 17 Fairbridge Road, Farrarmere
• Remax Dazzle, Rynfield
• The Vegenary & Health Shop, Rynfield
