Power supply interruption affecting eastern parts of Boksburg

City of Ekurhuleni technicians are attending to a faulty electricity cable which has left some areas in the eastern parts of Boksburg in the dark. The power has been off since Tuesday afternoon, June 27.
Metro spokesperson Zweli Dlamini said taking into account the progress that has been made thus far, the estimated restoration time is 20:00 tonight.
“We shall, however, work even harder to get the power back sooner, but for now the restoration time remains as stated,” said Dlamini.
Residents are advised to treat the electrical network as live at all times to avoid unnecessary injuries and incidents.
The city apologises for the inconvenience this has caused.
