Tell us what’s on your mind: do you donate blood?
In the light of Blood Donor Month that is celebrated in June, the Boksburg Advertiser asked a few locals if they donate blood and if they know their blood type.
Bianca Willemsen: I usually donate blood when the SANBS visits my workplace. It’s something you can do for free and it also keeps you healthier. My blood type is O+.
Renee Viljoen: I have never donated blood before because I’m too afraid. I am, however, considering becoming a donor. My blood type is O-.
Michael Murray: I am a blood donor, however, I haven’t donated blood in a while because I don’t get a lot opportunities to donate blood during working hours. My blood type is O+.
Ethan Blignaut: Yes, I donate blood because it’s a good thing that saves lives. What if you need blood one day? My blood type is O-.
