Note change of contact for Bokkie/Bunny park car boot sales

The car boot sales will not be administered or run by Caxton Local Media (Boksburg Advertiser and Benoni City Times) from June 1.

The car boot sales at the Bokkie Park and Bunny Park will not be administered or run by Caxton Local Media (Boksburg Advertiser and Benoni City Times) from June 1, following a business decision to step aside from this community project.

Janine Richardson, founder and organiser of the highly successful Food and Craft Market that takes place at these parks monthly, will now be the contact person for bookings and enquiries.

“We are proud to hand over the car boot sales, which have grown in popularity over the past four years, to Janine who we initially partnered with to bring a used-goods element to the markets,” said the editor of both publications Lana O’Neill.

“Her expertise and close relationships with our communities are bound to take the car boot sales to new heights.

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank Janine and her mom, Joan Gould, for their continued support in helping us take the car boot sales from a fledgling idea to a highlight of the social calendar, and wish them all the success for the future.

“On behalf of the Caxton Local Media staff, a huge thanks to all our loyal vendors who arrived rain or shine to bring added excitement and interesting bargains to the already popular markets.”

The final Boksburg Advertiser car boot sale took place at the Bokkie Park on May 6, and the Benoni City Times will host its final car boot sale with the market at the Bunny Park on May 27 (book a spot by contacting Immaculate on 010 971 3300).

For future car boot bookings contact Janine on 072 713 3332, as well as for stalls at the food and craft markets.
