St Francis thankful for support

St Francis Care Centre is a registered NPO that caters for vulnerable children and adults.

The St Francis Care Centre is grateful for the assistance they have received from the public this festive season.

Centre manager, Tilly Brouwer, expressed her gratitude to those who brought gifts for the children and all those who assisted them.

“We have received a lot of donations, such as groceries, and are extremely thankful for the support, said Brouwer.

The centre needs these items to be donated:
Groceries, cleaning products, including washing powder, refuse bags, Jik, Domestos, dishwashing liquid, air freshener, insect repellent, pine gel, brooms, mops, buckets, dishcloths, Five Roses tea, sugar, coffee, long life milk, Cremora, eggs, Maizena, brown onion soup powder, Bisto, spices (chicken, BBQ, curry), chutney, salt, fresh veggies (onions, potatoes, carrots, pumpkin), tomato sauce, cooking oil, oats, and Maltabella.

The Rainbow Cottage for children needs baby formula (Lactogen 1, 2 and 3), baby porridge and food, nappies (sizes 2, 3, 4 and 5), baby wet wipes, tissues, mattresses for cot beds as well as mattress protectors.

The adult in-patient unit and general needs include adult nappies (M, L and XL), A4 printing paper, disposable aprons and gloves (M), black and red pens, masks, linen savers, anything for their charity shop, linen and bedding for adult beds, paint and undercoat for maintenance, mattress protectors, toilet paper, pillow cases and medical gloves (blue).
