Mandela Day: St Francis grateful for donation

St Francis Care Centre is a registered NPO which caters for dozens of vulnerable children and adults, most of them suffering from threatening and/or life-limiting conditions

Tetra Pak helped to make this Mandela Day special for staff, children and patients at the St Francis Care Centre by making a generous donation.

This year’s theme for Mandela Day is ‘Do what you can, with that you have, wherever you are’.

St Francis was identified as a beneficiary after Tetra Pak invited employees to nominate an organisation that could benefit from a contribution from the company. Packaging long-life milk and juice is part of Tetra Pak’s core business.

Tetra Pak donated items like long-life milk and juice to St Francis Care. They also provided a cake and cupcakes for staff, patients and children. St Francis was identified as a beneficiary after Tetra Pak invited employees to nominate an organisation that could benefit from a contribution from the company. “We hope this contribution will nourish the recipients and bring a smile to their faces. Let’s make every day a Mandela Day,” said marketing manager Lebo Mothobi-Tilo.

St Francis manager Tilly Brouwer thanked Tetra Pak for supporting the organisation on Mandela Day.
