AfriForum boasts new chairperson

He plans to kick off a project team for community projects and build on the branch's neighborhood watch.

AfriForum Boksburg’s newly elected chairman Frankie Pedreiro is determined to make a difference in the community.

He will taking over the reins from Francois Reyneke.

The 35-year-old car wash owner explained that he joined AfriForum Boksburg about a year ago.

“I became part of the local AfriForum during the 2021 July unrest because I wanted to help the community,” he said.

Pedreiro said he is ready for the challenge and has been welcomed with open arms by the members and community.

He plans to kick off a project team for community projects and build on the branch’s neighborhood watch.

“We now have about 25 active patrollers.

“Furthermore, I would like to build a good relationship with the police, CPF, security companies and emergency services. We want hand-in-hand with them.”

He highlighted that he is excited about the branch taking part in a AfriForum national mass patrol on July 9 till 10.
