Galaxy S22 series rises to the challenge of putting the planet first

Samsung’s most eco-conscious devices ever, are a harmonious combination of technological advancement and eco-friendly production methods.

With technology products touching every aspect of our lives, it’s essential that we find the balance between the convenience it offers and its impact on the Earth.  Samsung has made great strides in ensuring that they produce their products in a more sustainable way, supporting the planet and protecting it for future generations. Samsung has not only taken steps in this direction, it has taken leaps. This commitment is evident in the production of the new Galaxy S22 Series – Samsung’s most eco-conscious devices ever, which are a harmonious combination of technological advancement and eco-friendly production methods.

Every year, our oceans and marine life are harmed by this scourge, and discarded fishing nets pose one of the greatest dangers. In an effort to help the planet, Samsung recovers discarded fishing nets[1] and transforms them into a high-performance material for their smartphones. Ocean-bound plastic[2] from discarded fishing nets make up 20% of the material used in the Galaxy S22 series’ component, key bracket.  The speaker module in the Galaxy S22 Series as well as the inner parts of the power and volume keys also incorporate post-consumer recycled material. Additionally, 100% recycled paper is used for the Galaxy S22’s packaging and this also incorporates a protective film made from recycled plastic. Samsung have gone even further by designing every smartphone case with UL-certified, eco-conscious materials[3] – such as recycled post-consumer plastics or bio-based substances. Ultimately, consumers should be able to enjoy landmark design such as Samsung’s most powerful Galaxy device yet, the Galaxy S22 Series, while also feeling good about choices that benefit the planet.
