According to Boksburg North SAPS spokesperson Const Justice Ramaube, Toyota bakkies, Fortuners and Hiluxes are in demand.
“The station is investigating at least 12 cases of theft of motor vehicles this month,” said Ramaube.
He explained most incidents happen on weekends and shopping centres are hot spots, especially Key Largo Shopping Centre.
He highlighted community members should always double-check if their car is locked and be aware of their surroundings.
