The Boksburg Cardinals u-10 baseball team was victorious at the Gauteng Province Baseball Council (GPBC) cup finals on March 13 that took place in Benoni.
This beat Cherokee 23-15.
Gavin Bennett, president of the Boksburg Cardinals, said he is proud of the team.
“The improvement they have shown from the beginning of the season is evident. It is also great for the future growth of the club as we are building a great foundation with all our junior teams.
“A big thank you must go to all the coaches in the various teams for all their hard work and time in coaching our young boys and girls, ” said Bennett.
The Cardinals’ u-12 also made it to the GPBC cup finals and lost 8-2 against Cheyenne.
