Reiger Park CPF members recognised for their hard work

CPF members are determined to protect their community members.

The Reiger Park police station awarded certificates of appreciation to its Sector Three CPF members on January 18 for their hard work over the past years.

They were all overwhelmed with excitement as they received their certificates. Secretary of the Sector Three CPF Morongwa Mathabatha said, “I’m happy that we were awarded for our duties as the CPF officials. I have been working in the forum for over six years, volunteering to protect our community.

“This award will boost my spirit. I will continue working hard to combat crime in Reiger Park.

“We worked well with our appointed sector manager Sgt Lufuno Mdluli, who works at the Reiger Park Police Station.”

Nakedi Sebola, the commander of the CPF patrollers, said he is pleased with the wonderful gesture from the Reiger Park SAPS, including its station commander Col Roets.
Mdluli said, “We are giving our CPF members certificates of appreciation because they have been helping us to tackle crime over the past six years.

“They have been our eyes and ears as police officers and we wouldn’t be making as many arrests without them. They have been committed to their duties without any complaints as volunteers.”
He added that CPF members are a force to be reckoned with and have played an instrumental role in tackling GBV issues.

“These members have shown an undying spirit,” he concluded.
Various stakeholders from Reiger Park attended the appreciation ceremony.
