Balmoral College learner a National High School Quiz finalist

The purpose of this initiative is to encourage high school learners to expand their knowledge and to read more.

The Grade 11 Balmoral College leaner, Mayibongwe Ncube, came second in the regional finals that were held at Sandton Varsity College Campus on August 26.

For his performance in the quiz competition on general knowledge, Mayibongwe walked away with a Samsung tablet and a cash prize of R2 500.
This remarkable feat also qualified him to go on to compete in the National High Schools Quiz against teams from across the country.
Mayibongwe is hoping to win the national crown during the grand finale to be held on October 2 in Durban, not just for himself, but for his teacher and the school.

This year’s quiz will be covering everything from current affairs to many other general knowledge questions.
