Miss Boksburg Junior finalist determined to empower others

The beauty queen said she is determined to use this platform to give back to others.

Reiger Park’s Cyrilique Koopman (12) recently made it to the finals of the Miss Boksburg Junior pageant.

The Lakeside Primary School learner, also a talented nail technician, said she wants to use this platform to give back to others.

“I want to reach out to people. My vision is to help others by teaching them how to do nails at an affordable price. It will be a five-day course and will include a nail starter kit, pamper gift and attendance certificate.

“I recently did a nail course to support my mother and ensure a better future for myself.

“Now I want to share my knowledge with others and teach them how to do nails. Being able to do nails will give people a backup plan and help keep them off the streets,” she said.

The beauty queen appealed to community members and businesses to become sponsors to make her dream a reality.

“This will help us to purchase items such as the starter kits, ” she added.

Cyrilique’s mother, Nicky Koopman, is proud of her achievement.
