Join Famsa in the fight against GBV

The community of Boksburg is urged to take a stand against gender-based violence

Family and Marriage Society of South Africa (Famsa) will hold a victim empowerment event on November 6 and November 14 in Reiger Park and Ramaphosa, respectively.

Famsa East Rand, in partnership with local stakeholders, is going to host a gender-based violence and victim empowerment awareness march in Reiger Park and Ramaphosa informal settlement.

They are also planning to host two-day workshops in both areas.

The Victim Empowerment Programme, funded by the National Development Agency (NDA), is aimed at supporting victims of violence including the LGBQTIA community.

Anyone or organisations that wish to join the march may contact the Famsa office on 011 892 4272/3.
