The Advertiser is aware of a cash-in-transit heist which took place just after 9am this morning (September 23) in Dawn Park.
It’s understood that a G4S van which was travelling along Galahad Street near the Dawn Park shopping centre was allegedly attacked by a group of men driving a Mercedes-Benz.
According to a police source, it is alleged the group of men crashed the Mercedes-Benz into the cash security van before bombing it.
An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen before the suspects fled the scene in other getaway cars.
No injuries were reported.
The Advertiser is still waiting for more information from the police.
