Avoid Elsburg Road as protesters demand electricity
Once again, residents of Ramaphosa have taken to the streets to protest against poor service delivery
Motorists are advised to avoid Elsburg Road due to protest action taking place in the area.
It’s understood that Tokyo informal settlements residents have blocked Elsburg Road with rocks and burning tyres, protesting over a lack of electricity in the area.
Residents closed the exit points and entrances to the area last night (September 14).
Police and EMPD officers are closely monitoring the situation.
Motorists are urged to use alternate routes as a precautionary measure.
