Victims robbed at gunpoint on the N12 on-ramp

During preliminary investigations, police found approximately 15 spent cartridges on the scene of crime.

The Boksburg North SAPS is investigating a case of armed robbery and attempted murder after victims got robbed at gunpoint at 11pm on the N12 on-ramp leading to Jet Park on November 11.

According to Const Justice Ramaube, Boksburg North SAPS spokesperson, the 38-year-old victim, Chima Ekcukwu alleged to have been driving with his business partner in his silver grey Audi A4 along the R21 freeway before joining the N12 on-ramp leading to Jet Park.

This is when they were overtaken by a black Mercedes Benz that suddenly stopped in front of them.

According to the victim, two passengers got out of the Mercedes and started to shoot at them.

“The suspects, who were alleged to be four, demanded money and a black briefcase containing business papers, which they managed to get away with,” said Ramaube.

“Another victim, who was a passenger, was shot in his upper left leg and left hand. He was taken to the hospital.

He added that no arrests were made as yet though investigations into this matter are underway.
