Dealer caught red-handed with dagga in Boksburg

The arrested suspect was booked at Boksburg police station, on charges of possession and dealing in dagga. He is expected to appear in the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court soon.

A dealer was arrested on November 7  in Boksburg following quick reaction by patrolling EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit members.

According to Kobeli Mokheseng, EMPD spokesperson, the EMPD members witnessed an unlawful transaction where a suspicious male bystander was seen hand exchanging a transparent plastic containing a greenish substance for cash with a passerby.

This was at the corner of Short and Leeuwpoort streets.

“As the EMPD team advanced and intercepted, the one suspect fled while the other one was searched.

“He was found with a number of ziplocks containing dagga valued at R1040 and R200 cash, along with four envelopes containing R1350,” said Mokheseng.
