Help SA Water Warriors to fight drought

The NPO collects donated water from the public and big businesses at donation stations and distributes it to areas affected by the severe drought our country is facing.

The South African Water Warriors organisation needs donations from the community in order to keep on helping communities in drought-stricken areas in South Africa.

They recently donated water to the drought-stricken animals at the dam in East Village, Sunward Park.

“With the founder included, we are a team of eight members throughout SA who work tirelessly to aid communities in drought-stricken areas,” said Isabel Coetzee from the South African Water Warriors.

“Continuous drought in areas of South Africa leaves farmers in a devastating financial situation that affects the farmers’ families, the workers’ families and their livestock. Some areas are affected for as long as five to six years where no income could be generated due to the drought.”

She added that fields lie dusty and abandoned, with no trace of hope for our farmers.

“Our farmers in South Africa are in dire need of help, requiring not only water but also animal fodder, pet food and food for their families and workers’ families.

“Farmers are needed to provide meals for our families through their produce every day. They need our support now.”

She emphasised that they can only assist in drought-affected areas with the help of the public, business owners and volunteers.

“It would be appreciated if the community could make a contribution, be it non-perishable food, water or funds.”
