A Jerusalem informal settlement woman was assaulted and raped by a man known to her on September 29.
The victim told police she was with another man known to her, walking along one of the streets in the informal settlement on her way home at about 11pm.
All of a sudden someone hit her with a bottle over the head before she collapsed and became unconscious. The next moment she found herself in someone’s yard and a man she recognised pushed her against a toilet where he raped her.
* In another rape, a Blue Sky informal settlement woman told police she, on September 29, suffered rape at the hands of a man who offered her some alcoholic drinks and is known to her.
This unfolded when the man, who also stays in the same informal settlement, asked the woman to go with him to his shack where there was a bottle of Three Ships Whisky he wanted to have with her.
The unsuspecting woman accepted the offer and went to the alleged rapist’s place, where they were joined by another woman.
They enjoyed the alcoholic drink and the other woman subsequently left the man and the complainant in the shack.
Thereafter, the man allegedly pushed her on his bed, told her how much he loves her, before he allegedly started to rape her and asked her not to scream.
After the incident, the woman went straight to the police to report the rape.
