Boksburg struck by a number of home invasions

Below are some of the serious crimes recently reported to the Boksburg police:

A Parklands Estate couple woke up to find three armed strangers in their bedroom on September 19.

The victims told the police that the intruders threatened them with weapons and tied them up with cable ties before ransacking the property. Stolen items included pricey cellphones, a laptop and a pair of sneakers. No one was injured during the invasion.

* In another terrifying home invasion, a gang of about four balaclava-clad men forced their way into a residential property in Parklands Estate on September 24 and tied up the occupants of the property before stealing valuable items.

The men, described as African males, stole five cellphones, a TV set from the bedroom and wedding rings from the couple’s fingers. They then went to the domestic worker’s room and dragged her to her bosses’ bedroom where she was also tied up.

* In Freeway Park, thieves forced their way into a residential property in Drostdy Road and stole a TV set, jewellery and a gaming console on September 19.

* Also in Freeway Park, a resident arrived home in Dinsley Road on September 22 to find that burglars invaded his home and stole goods including his TV sets – a Samsung, Sansui and JVC TV set. Clothing, jewellery and a Samsung tablet were also stolen during the break-in.

*Meanwhile, a Plantation resident returned home on September 20 to discover that thieves forced their way into his property in Palm Street and stole a bed and a TV set, while he was away for a few hours.

* A Sunward Park-based man woke up in the morning of September 19 to find that thieves forced their way into the garage in his residential property on Duiker Road, and stole his pricey bicycle.
