Residents from the Lusitania Complex in Bartlett are frustrated as they are struggling to get a sewerage leak near the complex attended to.
A representative from Benoni Properties, who wished to remain anonymous, said the matter was reported to the metro.
“The sewerage leak is a huge problem. It’s unhygienic and residents are complaining that the smell is unbearable,” said the representative.
“We have been struggling with this matter for approximately a year now. The metro usually comes about every month to fix the problem, however, it is not a permanent solution.
“It’s also concerning that the sewerage might be running into a vlei.”
