Support Dog Day by donating food and necessities
The law firm will be raising tinned dog food, blankets, other necessities and funds in aid of the furry friends at the Benoni SPCA.
Bavin Incorporated Attorneys in Boksburg is holding a tin drive on August 26 in support of National Dog Day.
This is a day celebrated annually for people to recognise the importance of dogs. It is also a day that draws attention to abused and abandoned dogs as well as service dogs.
Donné Garbutt, from the law firm, said any donations are welcome as Bavin Inc. is trying to speak up for the voiceless.
“We usually support the Benoni SPCA. Economic hardships are experienced by more people these days, which means more animals are handed over to the SPCA,” said Donné.
“Bavin Inc. loves animals and we feel it’s important to raise funds for dogs as they’re dependent on humans.”
People who would like to make a contribution may leave their donations at their offices at 11 Hugenoot Street, Beyers Park.
Donné said collections can also be arranged.
