About the comedians

With a comedy career spanning over 12 years and numerous outstanding credentials under her belt, including author, columnist and TV host, Tumi Morake continues to be a formidable and fierce force in the comedy industry.

Her edgy and unpredictable brand of comedy has wowed audiences around the globe and her unique ability to deliver all the laughs and right punches has become synonymous with what fans have come to expect from her.

Vibrant and immensely talented trailblazer Angel Campey brings her brand of observational humour to the stage. Fast-becoming a leading voice in SA comedy, Angel’s comedy has been dubbed as comedy for the discerning young South African and is nothing short of hilarious.

Celeste Ntuli has always been a joker, so it was no surprise when she decided to pursue comedy as a career. Guaranteed to have audiences in stitches, Celeste’s straight forward, bold and outspoken traits have fans coming back for more.

Another fresh face to the line-up, Kate Pinchuck, is an enigma, a visionary, a genius (all words which have been used to describe this 26-year-old, mostly by herself). She has been rising up in the comedy scene and recently taped two line-up comedy specials that were aired on DStv On Demand and Showmax.

Emerging comic Lindy Johnson has started making her mark in SA comedy. Her brand of comedy is relatable storytelling with a highly enjoyable twist – a fresh take on life as a young woman in today’s world.

Her originality and razor sharp observations have made Nina Hastie an impressible force in the comedy scene as she continues to push the boundaries. Her string of credits also includes writer, actor, and TV and radio personality.

Thenjiwe Moseley quit her full-time job as a lawyer to pursue stand-up and is now the queen of deadpan comedy. She is widely known for her hilarious YouTube comedy skits and her humour addresses topics that most people shy away from.

Anasia Govender’s quirky character, Annalakshmi, loves telling stories and giving candid commentary. Singing a variety of Indian and English songs, her parodies are witty, funny and honest. She is fast becoming one of the most recognised entertainers in the industry.

With his characteristic wild hair and grin and his rapid-fire delivery and sense of timing, Marc Lottering has earned the title of comedic genius bringing his unique brand of comedy and entertainment to the stage.
