Winter Charity Ball to raise much-needed funds for Jandré

The medical aid does not cover the full amount needed to complete Jandré’s treatment plan and they still need to raise approximately R450 000 within six weeks.

Jandré van Coller, a brave young boy from Boksburg who is battling cancer, is now a beneficiary of the Winter Charity Ball.

The Advertiser previously reported that Jandré had been diagnosed with early precursor acute lymphoblastic leukaemia.

The charity ball will be held at Medley House on August 3 at 6pm and will assist in raising funds for Jandré’s upcoming treatment.

Jandré van Coller is in need of the community’s support to fight cancer.

According to one of the organisers, Heleen Joubert, your ticket will include a welcome drink, a three-course meal and live entertainment.

“People will get value for their money. We’ve also booked Samantha Leonard, a finalist from last year’s The Voice,” said Joubert.

“For funds, we will have donated hampers, holiday vouchers to raffle, as well as an auction company that will come with various items that will be auctioned.

“There’ll also be collection bins at the entrance for people who’d like to make donations.”

She said that the Brakpan SPCA, Huis Charis and Huis Thandi will also be beneficiaries.
