Local SPCA’s Cheer Fund closes on R38 725

The fund saw families, friends, companies and organisations donating in support of the furry friends at the Boksburg SPCA.

The Boksburg SPCA Cheer Fund has ended on a not so high note compared to last year’s R100 000 raised.

The local SPCA thanks everyone who contributed to the fund, which raised R38 725 from November 2018 to January 2019.

Sue Beadon, Boksburg SPCA secretary, said: “The Boksburg SPCA wishes to thank each and every animal lover who contributed to our fund. We are extremely grateful for the funds received.

“The Boksburg SPCA is in the process of getting quotes to refurbish and replace our old kennel fronts which are rusting and beginning to become a safety hazard for the animals in our care.

“The 2018 fund will go towards this refurbishment so that we can have peace of mind with regards to our animals’ safety. Thank you for caring.”
