A body of a man, aged 29, was found burned to death on Christmas Day.
According to Boksburg SAPS spokesperson, Const Ntsako Lewdaba, police were alerted to a case of an unnatural death by residents in Angelo informal settlement.
Police officers arrived on the scene to find the burned body of Xolani Shabalala lying inside the remains of an incinerated shack.
“Community members of Angelo were still trying to put out the shack fire. Paramedics also arrived and certified Shabalala dead on the scene,” said Ledwaba.
Shabalala’s body was taken to the Germiston State Mortuary.
