House of Mercy extending its services during the holiday

The rehabilitation centre was established in 1988 to provide the best possible treatment for various addictions.

House of Mercy will open its doors during December to offer their services to the public for the first time since its establishment.

The centre used to close during the December holidays, but now, due to the high demand of people needing their services even in December, they have decided not to close.

House of Mercy director Monica Mashiane, said: “We saw a need to extend our services in December in order to cater for our patients who would want to be booked in during the holidays.”

The centre provides voluntary intensive residential treatment to chemically dependent people, from the age of 18, giving preference to the most vulnerable and the poorest.

The aim of the centre is to facilitate the healing of each individual in a holistic manner, focusing on physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual aspects.
