Intruders fire a shot at homeowner

Below are some of the serious crimes which form part of the relentless pace of crimes within the Boksburg SAPS policing precinct.

House break-in

A Boksburg South man told police he was woken up by a commotion made by thieves busy ransacking his house on Walton Street on November 16.

He found four intruders in the house and they fired one shot at him. They stole jewellery and money. The thugs forced a door open to enter the property.

* In Sunward Park, thieves forced their way into a house on Bert Lacey Drive and stole valuable goods, including thousands of rands, on November 15. The stolen items include a Samsung TV set, a Sony DVD player and a PlayStation 4.

* A Freeway Park woman arrived home to find thieves have forced open a gate and door of her property to enter the house to loot on November 16. The thieves helped themselves to her belongings, including jewellery, two pairs of sneakers and two spare car keys.

Rape

A Delmore informal settlement woman told police she was grabbed off one of the Angelo informal settlement pathways and raped on November 17.

The victim was walking down the way when the rapist grabbed her from behind, strangled her and dragged her to a nearby veld where she was sexually abused.

Drugs

Boksburg police patrolling the CBD arrested a man believed to be a drug dealer after he was found in possession of drugs along Leeuwpoort Street on November 19.

He was charged with dealing in drugs and the illicit drugs were confiscated.
