The EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit raided four residents in the Reiger Park area on Wednesday, November 7.
According to chief superintendent Wilfred Kgasago, EMPD spokesperson, four suspected drug-dealers were apprehended.
Khat, mandrax, crystal meth and dagga with a valued of approximately R34 000 were seized.
“One suspect residing on Fish Eagle Street ran when the metro police approached his place and left his place unlocked.
“In one of the rooms 16 half mandrax tablets, 46 ziplocks of khat, nine crystal meth ziplocks and loose dagga with an estimated value of R25 000 were uncovered.”
Kgasago said R1 035 in cash was also confiscated.
“From the four arrested suspects 86 mandrax tablets, 35 dagga packets and a ziplock of khat altogether worth R9 000 were seized.”
“All the seized drugs and cash were booked in at Reiger Park police station.”
The suspects were expected to appear in the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court.
