Watch: Hospice East Rand in festive mood with high tea
Hospice East Rand is a community-based organisation whose mission is to provide high quality, holistic and non-discriminatory palliative care for persons with life limiting illnesses and their families.
The afternoon of Saturday, August 25 was filled with smiles and laughter at the high tea fundraiser for Hospice East Rand.
About 40 guests gathered at Ora Bella restaurant in Boksburg.
Vintage Vibes filled the event with music and entertainment while Sanet Labuschagne, SA Masterchef contestant, shared her story and some of her very own recipes.
Laura Kirsten from Hospice East Rand thanked the guests for their attendance. The guest received goodie bags and the tables were beautifully decorated with delicious eats.
The guests were also reminded of the importance of regular health check ups.
Kirsten said the event made a huge contribution to the needs of all Hospice branches ion the East Rand.
Hospice East Rand has been serving the community since 1986. Service area covers Benoni, Boksburg,Brakpan, Springs, Nigel, Heidelberg, Kempton Park, Germiston, Edenvale and Bedfordview. Each town has its own dedicated nursing staff to ensure hands on caring within these communities.
