The crime scene along Atlas Road has forced the SAPS to cordon off the area due to the cash-in-transit heist that took place this morning.
The van was bombed along Atlas Road, close to Middel Road.
The SAPS has cordoned off Atlas Road stretching from North Rand Road just past Middel Road close to the N12 highway.
Capt Juanita Coetzer, communications officer at Boksburg North SAPS, could not give a specific time of how long the road will be closed.
The scene of the crime is along Atlas Road close to Middel Road:
“It will take several hours to bag and tag evidence as the scene will be inspected carefully.”
According to Coetzer the roads will be closed for probably the duration of the day.
