Bikers raise R30 000 for Amistad Motorcycle Club’s ‘Fresh’

Bikers in full regalia mingled and danced the whole afternoon away.

Over 40 different motorcycle club members arrived in numbers to support the fund-raising event held for founding President of Amistad Motorcycle Club, “Fresh”, who was involved in an accident last year.

The fund-raiser was held at the Adventure Country Pub and Caravan Park on May 27.

Francisco Snydert, famously known as “Fresh”, was involved in a serious motorbike accident near Carnival City which left him in ICU for some time.

Snydert, who is also the owner of The Zone Pub and Grill in Boksburg, is now recovering at home.

Charlton Aubrey, the current president of the Amistad Motorcycle Club, said: “’Fresh’ would often host biker charity events at The Zone for the poor.

“So, since the terrible accident he was unable to keep The Zone operational along with another business which closed down, leaving his wife as the only breadwinner. As a club we saw it fit to organise this fund-raising event to show support.”

Aubrey said they had a good turnout as they managed to raise approximately R30 000.

“We thank our sponsors and performers who entertained our guests. Ken Stopford, Riaan Kukord, Nadine Burness, Meat World (Meadowdale), Les Silverston, New Apostolic Church Elspark, Kraft Worx, Sicilion, Code Motorcycle Club, Just Numbers Motorcycle Club, Legion Motorcycle Club, Moths, DTF Security Armed Response and guarding, Emperors Palace, Motor Tyre Boksburg and everyone that attended,” Aubrey said.

All proceeds raised on the day will go towards medical costs.

Snydert said he was so grateful to his club for hosting the fund-raising event.

“I am so amazed because I didn’t expect this. I am so happy to see all my friends from other motorcycle clubs,” he said.
